Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer

Location: Anywhere (Remote), Contract-to-Hire, Development, Government, Remote workplace type.

Rate: $80-100 per hour.

Our team is looking for an experienced Senior Machine Learning Software Engineer (remote opportunity) to drive innovation in AI/ML solutions across the information technology and software development space.

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Responsibilities

  • Develop predictive models using advanced ML techniques (regression, classification, clustering, neural networks).
  • Design and implement end-to-end AI/ML/NLP solutions aligned with cybersecurity standards.
  • Ensure code quality, scalability, and security while resolving technical challenges and optimizing performance.
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using modern DevSecOps tools.
  • Support production deployment, monitoring, and root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate in Agile teams — participate in sprints, reviews, and retrospectives.

Experience Requirements

  • 10+ years in software/IT and 5+ years in data analysis & machine learning.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Hands‑on experience with Image Transformer models (e.g., Microsoft's DiT) for document understanding.
  • Solid background in data analysis, statistical modeling, and software engineering.
  • Leadership, problem‑solving, and adaptability in fast‑paced environments.
  • Experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.) is a plus.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Ability to obtain a public trust clearance.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
