We're representing a rapidly expanding, market-leading distribution business entering an accelerated phase of strategic growth. Backed by a top-tier private equity sponsor, this organization is actively executing an aggressive acquisition strategy across the Midwest—expanding its footprint, deepening customer relationships, and broadening product offerings at speed and scale.

As Vice President of M&A, you'll be the driving force behind that strategy—identifying, evaluating, and executing acquisitions that will shape the company's next chapter of growth. You'll work hand-in-hand with a visionary CEO and a highly engaged investment partner to lead deals from initial sourcing through close, with direct influence on post-acquisition integration and long-term value creation.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end deal execution, from sourcing and valuation through diligence, negotiations, and closing.
• Build and manage a high-quality pipeline of potential acquisitions through direct outreach, networking, and market intelligence.
• Partner closely with senior leadership and the private equity team to align each transaction with strategic growth objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to sellers—building relationships with founders and family-owned business leaders to structure mutually beneficial outcomes.
• Develop board-level materials, investment memoranda, and executive updates articulating strategic and financial rationale.
• Play a key role in shaping the company's overall growth story, helping to double—or even triple—scale over the next few years.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
• 5+ years of M&A or corporate development experience, ideally within a private equity–backed company, investment banking, or related environment.
• Proven ability to lead deals from sourcing through close.
• Outstanding communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability.
• Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced environments where initiative and follow-through are key.
