Overview
Telecom Design Engineer (Data Centers) at Jacobs. Base pay range: $85,000.00/yr - $111,525.00/yr. This position is available at any location in the United States. Ideally, candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. office, but Jacobs intends to hire the best candidates regardless of location.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical design of systems for building projects including security, fire alarm, voice, data, audio/visual, and other low voltage systems.
- Prepare engineering drawings and specifications; conduct site visits; review technical documents; coordinate with customers and vendors; integrate Owner-specific installation requirements with site-specific applications.
- Collaborate with team members and mentors, and contribute to the entire design process from preliminary assessments through drawing and specification production.
Qualifications
- Technical or Associate's Degree from an accredited institution
- 4 or more years of experience actively designing low voltage and communication systems for buildings
- Familiarity with ANSI/TIA and BICSI standards
- Experience with Revit software
- Self-motivation to coordinate with other disciplines and clients as necessary
Ideal or Optional Qualifications
- Credentials as an RCDD or working towards this title
- Electrical Engineering degree, or related discipline
