Overview

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This organization is renowned for providing over 750 high-quality generic, specialty, and branded pharmaceutical products across North America, the Middle East, North Africa, and Europe. This role is initially an 18‑24 month contract with the potential to transition to a permanent position.

Responsibilities

  • Execute various projects throughout the facility in a Project Engineer/facilities engineering role.
  • Manage projects under $500k, including process equipment, site maintenance, facility upgrades, utility systems, lab space modifications, flooring/cubicle setups, and equipment installations.
  • Handle change control documentation and coordination, in addition to contractor management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or a related technical background.
  • Co‑op experience in Facilities/Mechanical Engineering or Construction roles.
  • Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment and facilities.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • SAP experience is a plus.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean, state‑of‑the‑art facility that includes office space, labs, and manufacturing areas. The position offers flexibility around working hours, with a minimum expectation of 40 hours per week. Core hours are from 9 am to 3 pm, allowing for flexibility in start and end times outside of these hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, Ohio.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 – $43.26 per hour.
