Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end daily operations of the Molecular Biology Supply Center (MBSC) and Chemistry Store (CHEMS).
  • Procure supplies for departmental inventory replenishment and initiate requisitions.
  • Seek alternative sources and materials when necessary.
  • Develop departmental supply par levels and maintain processes, policies, and workflows to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment/delivery of orders.
  • Make recommendations related to business processes and purchases, identify cost savings and process improvements.
  • Train and supervise student associates.
  • Provide flexibility to assist in other warehouse operations as needed.
  • Act as backup to the supervisor and subordinates during vacations and illness periods.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Four (4) years of relevant inventory experience.
  • Ability to work well with others, detail-oriented, strong work ethic, and self-starter.

Desired Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in biology, microbiology, chemistry, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Process improvement experience.
  • Experience with inventory control systems.
  • Experience using MS Office programs and MS Excel formulas.

Location: Celeste Laboratory of Chemistry (0371).

Position type: Regular. Scheduled Hours: 40.

Shift: First Shift.

The Target Hiring Range for this position is $22.93 to $29.95 per hour.

Final candidates are subject to successful completion of a background check. A drug screen or physical may be required during the post‑offer process.
