Join Walbridge as a Project Engineer to work on Data Center, Vehicle Manufacturing, or General Build Construction projects. The role includes planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large projects. Technical support includes participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, application of construction methods, resolution and documentation of design conflicts, constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing.
Location: The ideal candidate can be located anywhere in the US, with a willingness to travel to client projects on a long-term basis. Priority will be given to individuals local to New Albany or Jeffersonville.
Responsibilities:
- Project Execution: Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements, providing technical support for construction efforts, including participation in construction planning and design, interpretation of design, and application of construction methods.
- Resource Management: Manage project engineering and related personnel functions, including subcontractor planning and administration, and work assignments.
- Risk Management: Represent the company, project, and/or department during A/E, client, and project management meetings.
- Technical Support: Key technical person on projects, responsible for one or more small to medium-sized projects.
Qualifications:
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of similar construction engineering experience.
- Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units.
Ideally, you'll also have:
- Excellent communication and organizational skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Established technical knowledge, encompassing construction and engineering processes, procurement, project controls reporting, and contract management.
- Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Experience in identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
