This is an entry-level position in the Eastern Division - Columbus, Ohio, with project assignments in the Midwest requiring moderate to extensive overnight travel across Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The work environment is on active construction sites at Ben Hur's project field office.

The Project Engineer reports to project management and supports the site team. Opportunities for career advancement are available as you gain experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining the project field office operations and organization.
• Familiarize yourself with project plans and specifications.
• Perform field observations, troubleshoot, assist with measurements, and maintain project records.
• Support project status documentation, cost reporting, and safety and quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• In the final year of or completed an academic degree in engineering, technology sciences, construction management, or related STEM field.
• Ability to work collaboratively, take initiative, and manage responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of construction documents and effective communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scheduling, and drawing software; safety training will be provided.

All hires must pass a pre-employment drug screen. Salary ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 per year.
