Description:

The Office of Multifamily Housing is looking for a dedicated Architecture & Construction Section Chief (Administrative Staff) who will:

  • Supervise & manage architectural review & construction monitoring staff who evaluate all housing development projects approved by OHFA.
  • Work with agency legal counsel to review housing development project documents.
  • Maintain & update OHFA's Design & Architectural Standards.
  • Make presentations to management, OHFA Board members & program users.
  • Attend groundbreakings, grand openings & other events as agency spokesperson.

Employees in this position are required to report to OHFA's offices located at 2600 Corporate Exchange Drive, Columbus, OH 43231.

Education & Experience

  • Licensed Architect
  • Three years of work experience in Architecture, including affordable housing
  • Two years of supervisory experience (lead work counts toward supervision)

The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) offers affordable housing opportunities for Ohioans from rental assistance to homeownership. OHFA provides access to financial resources for the development & management of affordable housing. The Agency's programs serve first‑time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens & other populations with special needs who otherwise might not be able to afford quality housing.

The Office of Multifamily Housing increases & preserves affordable rental housing units in Ohio through a variety of programs that provide financial assistance, such as housing credits, low‑interest loans and grants to affordable housing developers. The office administers Ohio's Low‑Income Housing Tax Credit program and monitors projects during construction & post‑construction to ensure regulatory compliance and the ongoing financial viability of multifamily developments.

Compensation: To be determined based upon experience.
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8‑5 AM.
Classified: Unclassified, Exempt from Union.
