About the Role

Are you ready to take the next step in your construction career by supporting one of the most dynamic and fast-growing sectors in infrastructure? The Will Group is seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Project Engineer/Coordinator to help drive the successful delivery of a large‑scale data center construction project in Columbus, Ohio.

In this role, you'll serve as a critical link between field operations, project management, and subcontractors—ensuring seamless coordination, clear communication, and efficient execution across all phases of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager and field teams in planning, coordinating, and executing data center construction activities
  • Track and manage key project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and procurement logs
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure technical and design compliance
  • Prepare and review drawings, specifications, work packages, and technical documentation
  • Assist with quality control, commissioning efforts, and timely submission of project deliverables
  • Conduct site walks and contribute to daily field reporting and issue tracking
  • Maintain organized project records, including permits, safety documentation, meeting minutes, and as‑builts
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and adherence to scope, schedule, and safety standards
  • Use construction management platforms (Procore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, BIM) to streamline workflows and documentation

Qualifications

  • A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in construction, preferably on mission‑critical or large‑scale infrastructure projects
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities
  • Proficiency in project management and construction software tools
  • A team‑first attitude with the ability to work in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment

Base pay range: $100,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Annual starting salary: $110,000 to $120,000

Good Faith Salary Range: The annual starting salary for this position is between $110,000 to $120,000. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
