Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) manages over 2 billion customer interactions annually for Capital One. SCS partners with over 25 suppliers and is accountable for approximately $1B spend. The team drives innovations across direct marketing and supports Capital Ones competitive position. SCS is embarking on a transformation journey and seeks a Principal Associate to join the team.

The Well-Managed Solutions (WMS) team within SCS is hiring a Principal Associate to advance the Well Managed transformation by developing innovative data models, metrics and insights that shape the future of supply chain operations. This role suits someone who thrives on data exploration, curiosity, and creating structure in new areas. As a key member of the WMS team, you will collaborate with leaders across multiple lines to deliver results that impact the companys bottom line.

Responsibilities

• Merge and clean large datasets from multiple sources to support forecasting and risk insights.
• Build and validate forecasting models to anticipate risk and operational performance.
• Design and implement performance metrics to track business and supplier outcomes.
• Partner with leadership as a codeveloper of strategy, providing proactive insights.
• Translate technical findings into business recommendations that drive decisions.
• Work independently with ownership of deliverables and minimal supervision.
• Stay curious: explore new tools, test approaches, and share learnings.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to evolve automation opportunities.
• Build relationships and collaborate with key stakeholders.
• Advance the Well Managed agenda to strengthen sustainability, simplification, automation, ownership, and transparency.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• At least 3 years of experience in data analytics, forecasting or quantitative modeling
• At least 3 years of experience using Python (data cleaning, modeling, visualization)
• At least 2 years of experience handling complex datasets, identifying trends and developing metrics
• At least 2 years of experience using Google Suite or Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree or military experience
• 5+ years of experience in forecast modeling, risk analytics or advanced metrics development
• 3+ years of experience within the Financial Services industry
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain analytics or operations data
• 2+ years of consulting experience

Work from Home Technology Requirements

• A secure home office environment free from background noise and distractions
• A reliable private internet connection not supplied via cellular data or hotspot
• A private network that is password protected with ownership or line of sight to every device on the network
• Internet service provided by Cable or fiber ISPs
• Hotspots and satellite services are prohibited and do not meet performance criteria
• ISP download speeds on VPN must be at least 5 Mbps (10+ Mbps preferred)
• To validate speeds, visit www.google.com, search Speed Test and run from the Google page
• Hardwire and WiFi connections are acceptable if speed and security requirements are met

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries are listed by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses or long-term incentives.
