Accounting Specialist

TEK Systems is looking to hire an Accounting Specialist within the Investor Reporting team at one of the largest, rapidly growing banks in the Midwest! Job Functions

  • Process daily and monthly reconciliations of various interests, taxes, insurance, and accounts associated with mortgage loans.
  • Have a heightened understanding of debit and credit funds movement and possess the ability to identify and research discrepancies while reviewing daily and monthly payment activity.
  • Work with various levels of account complexities.
  • Reconciliations are processed through the Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) bank reconciliation workstation.
  • Use Adobe to put packets together once reconciliation is finalized with documentation on any outstanding items or balances associated with the account.
  • Have an inquisitive mind, work well in a team environment, and show the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Recent Bachelor or Associate's degree in Business (Accounting, Finance, Economics is preferred) OR 3+ years of general accounting/reconciliation/debit/credit experience, if no degree.
  • Experience within MSP platforms and/or Adobe is preferred, not required.
  • Eager to take on new tasks.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work in-office.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
