Procurement Manager

Location: Hybrid | Onsite 4 days per week

Overview

The Procurement Manager will lead a team of procurement professionals responsible for managing direct or indirect spend categories. This role focuses on developing sourcing strategies, building supplier partnerships, and driving operational excellence through cost management, innovation, and collaboration.

This position plays a key role in supporting organizational growth by aligning procurement strategies with business goals while fostering a culture built on trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Category & Sourcing Leadership: Lead sourcing, category management, and supplier relationship activities across assigned spend areas to ensure supply reliability, cost efficiency, and long‑term value creation.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership to develop and implement category strategies that leverage market insights, spend data, and supplier performance to optimize cost and service outcomes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop a team of buyers and senior buyers. Provide clear direction, build capability, and foster an inclusive, performance‑driven team culture.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Partner across departments to align procurement plans with organizational priorities. Support key business initiatives by identifying and enabling supplier solutions that meet operational and strategic needs.
  • Supplier & Contract Management: Oversee supplier negotiations, RFPs/RFIs, and contract execution to secure favorable terms, ensure compliance, and mitigate business risk.
  • Process Improvement: Promote supplier consolidation, standardization, and compliance programs to enhance procurement efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities align with internal policies, procedures, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, or related field required (advanced certification preferred).
  • 7–10 years of procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience within direct or indirect categories.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience required.
  • Strong background in supplier negotiation, cost management, and contract development.
  • Experience in domestic and international supplier environments preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that deliver measurable value.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across functions and levels.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills with experience in spend analysis and cost modeling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement systems.
  • Highly organized, collaborative, and adaptable to fast‑paced environments.
