Our client, a leading women's fashion retailer known for its modern design and elevated style, is seeking a Color Assistant to join their dynamic team. This role supports the Color Manager in driving color accuracy, consistency, and process efficiency across the development and production lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has a keen eye for color, strong organizational skills, and experience working with textiles or apparel production teams. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a global brand in the fashion industry.

• 3 week assignment with possibility of extension
• 4 days on site - 1 day remote
• Up to $30/hr pending experience

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the Color Manager to review and comment on printed and knit strike-offs for color accuracy and layout execution.
• Support the approval process for color submissions, ensuring all standards are met before final sign-off.
• Manage the ordering and filing of color standards, ensuring accurate record-keeping and accessibility.
• Communicate color comments and approvals through FlexPLM, maintaining clear and timely updates to production teams.
• Liaise daily with vendors to address color questions, submit updates, and troubleshoot any issues.
• Contribute to improving the organization and efficiency of the color development process.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a technical color, textile, or product development role (fashion or home categories preferred).
• Familiarity with woven and knit fabrications and basic knowledge of dyeing techniques and textile structures.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
