Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodial Manager to lead and coordinate the daily operations of our housekeeping team. This role is responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness and service delivery, while fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and direct the daily activities of lower-level housekeeping staff.
- Develop effective working partnerships with stakeholders and ensure service delivery aligns with service level agreements.
- Promote employee development and motivation through regular feedback and coaching, and assist in resolving workplace disputes.
- Manage operational risk by enforcing policies and ensuring adherence to procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process and service improvements.
Administrative Requirements
- Accurate administrative records such as timekeeping, inventory, and other documentation.
- May assist in managing vendor contracts.
Work Schedule & Conditions
- Primarily assigned to 2nd shift (Monday-Friday from 5:45pm-2:45am), but subject to changes in shift, hours, days, and/or location based on operational needs.
- May require participation in an on-call holiday rotation.
- Overtime may be required.
- Subject to 24-hour emergency call.
Additional Requirements
- This position is designated as essential (short-term status) and alternate (long-term status).
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements:
- Three (3) years of relevant experience in custodial operations.
- Valid drivers license.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of cleaning equipment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the custodial cleaning business.

- Demonstrated flexibility, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with self-direction.
- Proven ability to build and lead strong teams.
- Effective conflict management skills.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer software.
- Comfortably using iPads, Workday, and CMMS work management software.
Compensation
The target salary range for this position is $24.95 to $29.95 per hour, with a shift differential for hours on 2nd shift. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
