Bilingual Purchasing Senior Buyer (Japanese/English)

Embark on an exhilarating opportunity as a Bilingual Purchasing Senior Buyer in a leading full-service firm specializing in the design and production of automotive accessories and electronic components. This role demands fluency in both Japanese and English, with Chinese as a valuable addition, to manage and innovate purchasing strategies across international borders, ensuring effective supplier relationships and optimal cost management. Spanning duties from strategic procurement to complex negotiations and international communications, this position is designed for a proactive and skilled individual, aiming to impact our dynamic and fast-paced environment directly.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers, targeting new model and mass production cost efficiencies.
• Engage in meticulous research, evaluation, and procurement of electronic automotive components, synchronizing quality and cost priorities.
• Manage competitive and constructive supplier negotiations and oversee the quotation process.
• Coordinate internal and external communications with both domestic and international companies regarding design changes and product developments.
• Issue critical supplier documents such as contracts, agreements, and forecasts, while ensuring compliance with organizational goals.
• Oversee the maintenance of accurate and comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM) for new models.
• Analyze market trends to remain abreast of industry shifts and changes in technology or sourcing dynamics.
• Translate and facilitate communications between international teams, primarily with Japanese companies, enhancing operational coherence.

• Proficiency in Japanese and English; proficiency in Chinese is a bonus.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least two years of professional experience in Purchasing, Sales, Quality Control, or Engineering.
• Familiarity with supplier evaluation, selection processes, and international business protocols.
• Excellent mathematical acumen and efficiency in utilizing MS Office suite. Ability to interpret financial statements is essential.
