About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Director of Purchasing to lead our procurement and sourcing strategy in the medical distribution industry. This role is critical to ensuring our organization delivers high-quality medical products on time and at competitive costs. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong vendor management, supply chain, and contract negotiation expertise within a regulated environment.

What You'll Do

• Lead all purchasing operations for medical devices, equipment, and healthcare supplies.
• Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to support company growth and profitability.
• Build strong vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and secure best-in-class pricing and service levels.
• Oversee inventory planning and demand forecasting to ensure availability and minimize waste.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, FDA regulations, and company policies.
• Analyze market trends, monitor supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Manage and mentor a high-performing purchasing team to achieve departmental KPIs.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, and sales teams to align purchasing strategies with business objectives.

What We're Looking For

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).

Experience:

• 7+ years of procurement or supply chain management experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership role within medical distribution or medical device manufacturing.

Skills:

• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract administration experience.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards (ISO 13485, FDA).
