Location, Sunday-Thursday, First shift.SummaryThe commissary worker is responsible for the preparation and production of Duchess proprietary food items, to be delivered by a third-party contractor to our Duchess stores.A commitment to food safety, following recipes, and speed are paramount.This is predominantly a Sunday through Thursday, first shift position but can vary depending on business needs.Essential Job Functions:* Responsible for preparing various food prep products.* Operating a variety of kitchen utensils and/or equipment for weighing, measuring, mixing, etc.* Follow recipes and/or product directions for proper food preparation.* Prep foods using the proper method of peeling, cutting, slicing, straining, stirring, or kneading.* Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, and stock rotation along with checking the temperature of products.* Receive food and beverage product supplies and stock areas as needed.* Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.* Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.* Assist with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed.* Other duties as needed and required by Management.Competencies* Ensure that all quality and Health/Safety requirements are met in accordance with Federal, State, and Local standards.* Dependability: Is punctual. Can be relied upon to be at work according to schedule. Complies with policies regarding clocking in/out and use of breaks.
