Overview

This Jobot Job is hosted by Christina Finster. This role is for a Wireless Systems Engineer focused on developing and implementing algorithms to enable wireless connectivity between Terrestrial Bluetooth devices and satellites. You will be involved in all aspects of modeling, system design and implementation of wireless communication and will work with cross-functional groups of hardware and software engineers. This is a full-time position with preference to be based in Seattle, WA (Relocation Assistance Available) but open to a remote work option for senior/more experienced candidates.

Base pay range

$130,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement algorithms to enable wireless connectivity between Terrestrial Bluetooth devices and satellites
  • Model, design and implement wireless communication systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams of hardware and software engineers

Basic Qualifications
  • 2 years of directly relevant experience
  • Bachelor's Degree (Masters preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of communication theory & signal processing algorithms (e.g., channel estimation, equalization, beamforming, timing recovery, coding, error correction)
  • Knowledge of wireless protocols (5G/LTE/WCDMA/GSM, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be, 802.11ad/ay or Bluetooth/Bluetooth Low Energy)
  • Expertise in signal processing and wireless systems (FSK/OFDM/MIMO) with lab testing experience
  • Experience with Matlab or Python and/or C/C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation
  • Experience with High Level Synthesis (HLS), silicon prototyping, FPGA development and emulation
  • Experience in bringing up real systems in silicon/FPGA/SoC and using lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer, signal generator)
  • Ability to work independently and learn new technologies quickly
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability and willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Availability to work extended hours and weekends for highly-critical events
  • Passion for creating state-of-the-art software systems
Preferences / Strongly Desired
  • 5 - 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with multi-radio coexistence management
  • Experience in modem architecture, microprocessor architecture, hardware and software control
  • Experience in low power algorithm design for power-critical applications
