Allied Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Echo Technologist - Echo Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM with Thursdays off
• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including stress echos, transesophageal echo, 2-D echo with M-mode, color flow, and cardiac doppler
• Conduct cardiovascular diagnostic tests including EKGs, Event Monitor applications, Cardiac Monitor applications, Pulmonary Function Tests, Lower Extremity Doppler Studies, and Stress Testing
• Record procedure data in patient charts and EMR system
• Clean and disinfect cardiology equipment and accessories
• Transport patients to and from department as needed
• Participate in monthly cardiovascular meetings and CQI programs
• Supervise and instruct students and precept new employees
• Must pass competencies including rhythm recognition
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Vascular/Echocardiography from accredited institution required
• CCI, ARDMS registered cardiac sonographer or registry eligible, and CPR certification required
• One to two years of echocardiography technician experience preferred
• Must have permanent address 50 miles or more away to qualify as traveler
• Physical demands include lifting up to 20-50 pounds occasionally
