Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Senior Project Manager, where you will have the opportunity to lead significant multi-craft projects in the mining sector, with budgets exceeding $200 million. This role is essential in ensuring project success through effective management of Safety, Quality, and Project Controls. You will guide engineering teams and joint venture partners while being accountable for all project aspects, including safety, quality, labor, material management, and client communications.
Location & Travel Details:
Work remotely, but be prepared for extensive travel, spending up to 90% of your time on projects across the U.S. Typically, you'll be assigned to a project site for 8 to 18 months. We offer a competitive salary, designated per diem, and additional mobilization support. A company vehicle and fuel card or vehicle allowance will also be provided, along with a longer weekend at home every four weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the entire site management team, including Construction Managers, Project Engineers, Quality Managers, and Safety Managers.
- Maintain a professional image during all client interactions.
- Facilitate communication between clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors regarding project issues.
- Implementing and championing a site-specific safety plan following the Corporate Safety Plan.
- Monitor project progress, identifying productivity issues early and proposing solutions.
- Oversee the completion of work plans and packages, ensuring quality documentation is gathered for project turnover.
- Coach team members on labor efficiency and safety practices.
- Conduct jobsite safety reviews and lead various safety meetings and training sessions.
- Manage procurement logistics, including scheduling material deliveries.
- Support project recordkeeping and correspondence functions, including daily reports and RFIs.
- Drive the planning process and oversee project cost forecasting.
- Negotiate change orders and support the budgeting process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- Experience in heavy industrial construction, particularly in mining or metals.
- A minimum of 11 years of construction field experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety programs.
- Ability to analyze engineering plans and offer cost-saving alternatives during design and construction.
- Exceptional leadership skills with a commitment to safety and ethical standards.
- Willingness to travel extensively and adapt to various project locations.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work long shifts in various environmental conditions, performing physically demanding tasks.
- Capability to maneuver in confined or cluttered spaces and safely work at heights.
Work Hours:
This is a full-time position, typically requiring 50 hours per week, with hours subject to project needs.
