We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for providing clinical patient services and support within the location. Essential job duties and responsibilities include: assuming on-call responsibilities for phone consultations during non-business hours, conducting patient assessments per Rotech's policy and procedure and the physician's order, maintaining a complete listing of all current respiratory patients, maintaining documentation of all services provided and all work performed, monitoring ongoing function of highly technical respiratory equipment, providing in-home visits to patients, providing initial and ongoing phone contacts with all respiratory patients, providing patient education as applicable, setting up all highly technical respiratory equipment, supporting orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the Manager, and performing other duties as assigned. Some travel via automobile required to patient's home and meetings.

Qualifications: Employment is contingent on background investigation, drug screen (when applicable for the position), and valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position). Required education and/or experience includes high school diploma or GED equivalent, credentials as a respiratory therapist, registered respiratory therapist (RRT) is required, and must be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the location. May be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area of location. Preferred education and/or experience includes completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care, nursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending upon state licensure laws, home respiratory care experience is preferred, degree in respiratory therapy or related science is preferred, and one year of related work experience is preferred. Skills and competencies include accurately performing simple mathematical calculations, effectively communicating in English; both oral and written, interpreting a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual), maintaining confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information, multi-tasking along with attention to detail, self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills, and work independently and as part of a team. Machines, equipment and technical abilities include email transmission.
