Position Overview

As Meeder's Private Wealth team continues to grow, this role serves as an integral member of the Private Wealth leadership team, responsible for expanding engagement with high-value financial advisors and their clients. It plays a vital role in delivering customized portfolio solutions, aligning internal resources, and ensuring a consistent, high-touch client experience throughout the advisor journey. The individual will also serve as a subject matter expert on Private Wealth and will be highly involved in supporting and advancing the firm's most strategic advisory relationships.

In addition to client-facing responsibilities, this leader will manage a team responsible for advisor support, proposal development, and service coordination. While not directly overseeing portfolio management, the role will work closely with Meeder's Portfolio Managers and Analysts to deliver tailored investment strategies. Success in this role requires a disciplined, process-oriented approach and the ability to drive consistency, responsiveness, and operational excellence across all client interactions.

Primary Responsibilities:

Cultivate and manage relationships with financial advisors and prospective high-net-worth clients, serving as a trusted advisor and resource to drive business growth for Meeder's Private Wealth team.

Conduct advanced review and analysis of high-net-worth client data, including investment portfolios, trusts, and financial plans, to create highly customized portfolio solutions tailored to individual and institutional clients.

Prepare and deliver the preparation and delivery of sophisticated client proposals, articulating the team's investment philosophy and portfolio management approach with clarity and expertise to high-net-worth advisors and clients.

Partner closely with senior Portfolio Managers and Analysts to design and implement complex, bespoke portfolios that align with the specific financial objectives of high-net-worth clients.

Showcase comprehensive portfolio solutions and investment strategies at a senior level to advisors and prospective clients, emphasizing the customization and value offered through Meeder's white-glove service.

Manage the client onboarding process, ensuring seamless coordination across investment, operations, and compliance teams, while maintaining high standards of client service.

Act as a key sales driver, working in deep collaboration with the sales team and financial advisors to identify opportunities, create customized solutions, and meet the evolving needs of high-net-worth clients.

Utilize and optimize the use of advisor databases and client relationship management tools, ensuring accurate tracking of client interactions, and providing operational and administrative support to the Private Wealth group.

Take initiative in advancing client experience initiatives, driving continuous improvement to better meet the evolving needs of high-net-worth clients and support the team's strategic growth.

Manage and develop a growing team, setting priorities, coaching for performance, and fostering collaboration and professional growth.

Critical Success Factors:

Deep expertise in the financial services industry, with a focus on wealth management, investment management, and advanced portfolio construction strategies for high-net-worth clients.

Proven ability to deliver high-level presentations and analysis, with exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills, along with exemplary written and verbal communication tailored to sophisticated clients and financial advisors.

Demonstrated leadership and collaboration, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams and displaying a high level of initiative, autonomy, and decision-making in fast-paced environments.

Strong organizational skills with a process-oriented mindset and meticulous attention to detail.

Excellence in managing complex, multi-faceted projects, maintaining a focus on details while adapting to shifting priorities and client demands.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in investments, financial planning or other capacity that has provided relevant experience.
  • Additional education and credentials are Preferred (i.e., Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA))
  • Previous experience with advisory practice or high net worth clients is preferred.
