Quality Assurance Technician (M-F 5a-1:30p)

As a Quality Technician, you will perform various tests on raw materials, packaging, and finished goods to ensure they meet company specifications and quality standards.

Position-Related Duties and Key Job Responsibilities

  • Inspect ingredients, products, and packaging materials to verify weight, density, stress, dimensions, torque, strength, etc.
  • Prepare beverages and conduct taste and odor tests according to sensory guidelines.
  • Clean and sanitize tanks using technology (e.g., computer-guided processes).
  • Manually clean equipment to maintain sanitary conditions.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, safety policies, and procedures.
  • Operate sit-down forklift for quality-related tasks.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the department and work area.
  • Promote lab safety while operating laboratory and analytical instrumentation.
  • Perform troubleshooting to ensure technical specifications are met.
  • Measure instrument variation and apply corrections to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Train peers and new associates.
  • Cross-train to support other manufacturing functions.
  • Conduct QA checks of water filtration systems.
  • Participate in GMP and system audits.
  • Complete training on food safety regulations at various levels.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of related experience in quality inspection across industries such as food, beverage, CPG, chemical, or product supply.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 55 pounds over 10 feet.
  • Ability to push and pull with a force of 80 lbs.
  • Willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Perform physical tasks like kneeling, bending, and stretching.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods in extreme temperatures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure quality and efficiency.
