Join our Marketing Enterprise Brand Strategy & Activation (EBSA) team as a Project Manager, where youll be the engine behind the seamless delivery of marketing initiatives that shape our brand and connect with audiences nationwide.

This hybrid position is based is in Columbus, OH. Candidates located near a Nationwide campus will collaborate in office 2 days per week and enjoy the flexibility of remote work the remaining days. Current Nationwide Remote Associates may also be considered.

What Youll Do

As a Project Manager, youll be the strategic connector across EBSA teams, ensuring that every marketing request from full-scale creative campaigns to quick-turn updates is delivered with precision, quality, and speed. Youll:

  • Lead the charge on simple to moderately complex marketing projects, managing them from kickoff to launch.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define project scope, timelines, budgets, and potential risks.
  • Balance the big picture with the fine details, ensuring every deliverable meets brand standards and marketing objectives.
  • Contribute creatively, offering insights during internal reviews and helping shape tactical recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance, working with legal and regulatory teams to keep communications aligned with industry standards.
  • Champion quality, overseeing every aspect of execution to deliver polished, impactful work.

As a Specialist, Marketing Project Management, you'll collaborate across various Content & Delivery teams to ensure quality, timely delivery of a wide variety of marketing requests, from full-scope conceptual creative to quick-turn updates. This role requires working on a high volume of projects, and an ability to effectively lead those to completion on a rolling basis. You will be responsible for all aspects of a project, from inception through launch, and will have the dual ability to maintain the broad vision required for executing a project, as well as the talent for coordinating the details.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates execution of project plans for simple to moderately complex local and national marketing programs and initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately within the project.
  • Collaborates across content & delivery to provide timeline, cost estimates, risks, etc. associated with projects.
  • Assesses project requests and defines an action plan that satisfies marketing objectives and ensures quality execution under supervision and guidance.
  • Makes tactic recommendations and offer perspective during internal creative reviews.
  • Coordinates quality control of all results.
  • Consults with Legal and Compliance as needed to ensure regulatory compliance for communications.

May Perform Other Responsibilities As Assigned.

Reporting Relationships: Reports to Manager/Director. This is an individual contributor role.

Typical Skills And Experiences

Education: Undergraduate degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred; graduate level studies preferred.

License/Certification/Designation: Agile project management certification is a plus. FINRA Series 6 license may be required. Associates will acquire the required Federal and/or state licenses/registrations within the time period designated by the business unit. Additional licenses/registrations may be required when new products and services are implemented. If an associate fails to obtain required licenses/registrations within the designated time period, the associate will be ineligible to continue in the position.

Experience: Typically, five or more years of proven professional experience in project coordination or project management role, preferably in marketing, insurance or financial services. Master's degree may be substituted for a portion of the experience requirements as appropriate. Advertising agency project coordination is a plus - including direct marketing campaigns, promotions, print, digital, social media. Agile project management experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of project management concepts and technique (agile, etc). Familiar with creative process as well as design and print/digital production; understanding of marketing concepts and terminology; Insurance and/or financial services product knowledge a plus. Strong organizational skills and high level of attention to detail. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively as well as lead various requests in a fast-paced environment. Ability to use logic and methods to solve problems with effective solutions. Strong communication skills with the ability to express self clearly and prioritize ideas well. Ability to function independently or in a team environment.

Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.

Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring managers leader and Human Resources Business Partner.

Job Conditions

Overtime Eligibility: Exempt (Not eligible)

Working Conditions: Normal office environment. Occasional travel. Non-standard or extended work may be required based on project needs.
