Position Summary:
We are seeking a Warehouse Project Manager to lead the execution of the warehouse scope for a ~414,000 sqft, highly automated packaging and distribution facility in Ohio. The role focuses on delivering ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems), AGVs (Automated Guided Vehicles), racking, WMS/WCS integration, and warehouse infrastructure. This individual will manage the full lifecycle of the warehouse project from design through commissioning, working cross-functionally with Client stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the warehouse project scope including automation, material flow, and facility integration.
• Manage project schedule, risk, vendor coordination, and issue resolution while reporting to the Associate Director.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all warehouse-related workstreams and ensure alignment with overall capital project goals.
• Coordinate warehouse infrastructure needs, installation readiness, and phasing with Turner's construction team to ensure site readiness aligns with equipment installation and automation sequencing.
• Oversee warehouse layout, equipment interface design, and installation planning.
• Ensure successful WMS/WCS integration between software logic and physical automation systems.
• Collaborate with automation, IT/OT, and commissioning teams to align controls, handshaking, and system validation.
• Support FAT/SAT activities, system startup, commissioning protocols, and operational handover.
• Partner with CQV and Quality to ensure warehouse systems meet user and regulatory requirements.
• Drive operational readiness including SOP support, training coordination, and warehouse go-live planning.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Systems), Supply Chain, or related technical field.
Experience: 7+ years in warehouse operations or project management with 3+ years leading ASRS/AGV or automated systems. Demonstrated experience managing vendors, software/hardware integration, and facility coordination. Prior experience collaborating with construction managers (e.g., Turner) or general contractors is strongly preferred. Experience in regulated industries (pharma/biotech/logistics) a plus.
Skills & Competencies:
• Strong understanding of warehouse automation (ASRS, AGVs, conveyors), WMS/WCS logic, and material flow.
• Effective leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination.
• Proficient in project planning tools (MS Project, Smartsheet), layout software (AutoCAD/Visio), and MS Office Suite.
• Ability to identify risks, troubleshoot integration issues, and manage technical deliverables with vendors.
Work Environment:
• Site-based role on active construction and installation areas.
• Regular coordination with construction, automation, and warehouse commissioning teams.
• Travel may be required to vendor sites or testing facilities.
• PPE compliance required in accordance with site EHS protocols.
