Duties
Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer for its Columbus 582 operations based in Dublin, OH. This individual will be responsible for the following duties:
- Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
- Prepare RFI's and submittals
- Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
- Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
- Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
- Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
- Assist in other duties as assigned
This position is safety-sensitive.
Basic Requirements
- Must have at least 4-7 years' experience managing construction projects.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.).
- Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned.
- Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently.
- Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative.
- Works well under pressure and deadlines.
- Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline.
- Experience with metal stud framing and drywall, acoustical ceilings, exterior systems and cladding preferred.
- Experience managing specialty scopes of construction.
- OSHA certification.
