Join to apply for the Cloud Solutions Engineer (1084220) role at The Judge Group Location: Columbus, OH Salary: $60.00 USD Hourly - $65.00 USD Hourly Description Senior AWS Cloud Engineer We are seeking a highly skilled Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to expand, develop, implement, and operationalize our cloud practice. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and experience across a broad set of infrastructure and application technologies, with a visionary approach to future advancements. This role requires the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive technological innovation. Responsibilities Migrate local server environments to AWS-based cloud architecture. Automate AWS cloud application intake processes. Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure designs meet regulatory requirements. Manage centralized cloud infrastructure to support application and product teams. Optimize cloud workloads for performance and cost efficiency. Share knowledge and promote awareness of alternative cloud environments and services. Identify and propose new projects and initiatives. Document and recommend best practices, articulating process improvements. Develop automations and applications to enhance operational efficiency. Provide 24/7 support and serve as a team escalation point. Maintain day-to-day processes, documentation, KPIs, and reporting. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Proven experience in cloud environments. Extensive knowledge of infrastructure, applications, and security. Preferred Qualifications Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new technologies, and stay current with industry trends. Passion for emerging technologies and ability to evangelize them to the team. Deep understanding of cloud security policies and native services. Familiarity with CSA CCM, NIST, and FFIEC standards. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and PowerShell; ability to navigate YAML and JSON. Experience with Windows and Linux in an enterprise setting. Understanding of both cloud-native and hybrid application architectures. Ability to support solutions with factual documentation. Experience with AWS CloudFormation, AWS EC2, VPC, S3, and related technologies. Knowledge of database technologies and other data services. Experience supporting complex production application environments. Technical Skills Must Have Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. Proven experience in cloud environments.
