Duties

This role will be responsible for the architecture, design, and development of our products. The individual will collaborate heavily with the delivery manager and product manager to deliver multiple, highly complex applications related to healthcare data and integrations.

Software Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and supporting applications, systems, and IT products required to achieve the company's business objectives. The role requires knowledge of software development techniques and fluency in software languages and application programming interfaces. A general understanding of hardware/software platforms, including but not limited to operating systems, databases, application servers, web servers, and integration technologies, is essential.

The position involves planning and executing system implementations that ensure success and minimize the risk of system outages or other negative production impacts. A conceptual knowledge of architecture standards, database, and operating systems is necessary. Problem-solving skills are required to allow for effective and timely resolution of system issues, including but not limited to production outages.

The role involves analyzing production system operations using tools such as monitoring, capacity analysis, and outage root cause analysis to identify and drive change that ensures continuous improvement in system stability and performance. Knowledge of software development, life cycle, modeling of business processes, application design patterns, and business/functional documents is necessary. The individual will estimate high-level business requirements and provide options analysis.

Required Skills

  • 10 years of experience in a related field
  • Working knowledge of three or more technologies
  • Proven leadership ability
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of projects
