Audit Position

Identify, evaluate, and communicate opportunities to mitigate risk, strengthen controls, and enhance customer value; contribute to the creation and execution of the Audit Plan; and assist in the professional development of other team members.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage and conduct projects as assigned.
  • Lead department initiatives and assist team members while maintaining overall responsibility for work quality, deadlines, and budgets.
  • Exhibit subject matter expertise in at least one relevant business function/risk area.
  • Prepare complete, clear, and concise documentation of audit work performed and conclusions reached.
  • Conduct engagement performance evaluations for other team members.
  • Deliver reports that are clear, objective, and constructive.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with team members and clients.
  • Actively lead, develop, and manage staff.
  • Assist in skill gap analysis of the team and look for further development of team resources in lean areas.

Additional Skills Required -- Financial Specific:

  • Provide objective assurance and consulting services to evaluate and improve the company's effectiveness of risk management, governance, and control processes.
  • Perform audits of internal controls related to business units and financial operations.
  • Test and evaluate the Company's compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Review management oversight and controls over operations, safeguarding of assets, reliability of financial and management reporting, and compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Conduct proactive fraud audits to identify potentially fraudulent activity.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required.
  • Advanced degree in a relevant field of study is preferred.

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of eight years recommended of audit experience.

Required License(s)/Certification(s):

  • Relevant professional certification is required (i.e. CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.)

Other:

  • Overnight travel may be required (Approximately 10%).

Compensation Data:

Compensation Grade: SP20-010

Compensation Range: $132,562.00-172,331.00 USD

The Physical Demand Level for this job is: S Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
