Prepare payment vouchers for expenditures of the Sheriffs Office. Process requisitions for materials, supplies, services, and equipment for approval. Verify accuracy and justifies invoices for payment. Maintain records/reports on expenditures. Review needs and project cost for existing programs and/or implementing new programs. Report on major purchases for inventory purposes. Consult with stockroom employees to assure proper distribution of incoming deliveries. Prepare daily pay-ins for treasurers office deposit. Verify that payments received match accounts receivable. Prepare monthly invoices for distribution (e.g., Dispatching, DNA, Fingerprint, Police Services Contracts, etc.). Assist in budget process as necessary and fills in for other budgetary roles as needed. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications - Associate Degree; or - 6 months experience in bookkeeping, public accounting, budgeting, finance, payroll or related field. - Ability to type 35 wpm.
