About the Role:

The HR Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the human resources department within the retail trade industry. This position is responsible for assisting with various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and compliance with labor laws. The HR Assistant will help maintain employee records and ensure that all HR processes run smoothly and efficiently. Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate's or bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within an HR department.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with HR software and databases, such as HRIS or applicant tracking systems.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations relevant to the retail industry.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparing orientation materials and conducting initial training sessions.
  • Maintain and update employee records in the HR database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the implementation of employee engagement initiatives and training programs to enhance workplace culture.
