Civil Site Project Manager - Columbus

A growing civil engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager to lead and expand its Civil Site Development group in the Midwest. About the Role

As a Project Manager, you'll oversee a diverse portfolio of civil site projects, manage and mentor a talented team, and play a key role in client development and retention. This role combines technical leadership with business development and offers strong potential for advancement in a dynamic and supportive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, design, and permitting of site development projects (commercial, residential, institutional, etc.)

• Direct and oversee design teams on site layouts, grading, drainage, roadway design, utility systems, and stormwater management

• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery

• Lead proposals, presentations, and client meetings to support business growth

• Drive project profitability and implement quality control processes

• Mentor and develop junior staff

• Collaborate with other offices and work across multiple geographic markets, including OH, IN, NC, and beyond
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE) license required

• 7+ years of experience in civil site design and project management

• Proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion

• Strong client relationships and experience developing new business

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

• Familiarity with local permitting requirements and design standards
