Senior Civil Designer

A mid-sized engineering and consulting firm is seeking an experienced Civil 3D CAD Designer to support a variety of civil site, water resources, and solid waste projects. Working closely with project managers and engineers, you will assist in producing high-quality construction documents and technical drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare civil site design plans including site layout, grading and drainage, utility plans, and erosion control

• Create plan, profile, and cross-section views; develop grading surfaces and storm/sewer profiles

• Assist in the creation of Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs)

• Perform earthwork volume calculations and generate material quantity estimates

• Establish and illustrate construction control systems (e.g., baselines, stationing, control points)

• Provide thoughtful design input that adds value to client deliverables

• Review drawings to ensure consistency with internal standards and best practices
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Aided Drafting or a related field (Civil Engineering degree is a plus)

• 6+ years of CAD drafting experience in civil engineering

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience in land development is a strong advantage
