Job Description

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for exceeding new business production, direct written premium, and loss ratio goals annually by effectively managing agents in an assigned market to increase market share through profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with IAs to develop and review agency-specific short-term and long-term strategic business plans, adjusting as necessary to achieve results.
  • Serve as the key company liaison within the market to independent agencies and industry associations, field-facing 4 days a week, driving business initiatives, and maintaining accurate records in CRM software.
  • Develop and maintain the agency appointment pipeline, supporting national accounts and alternative distribution initiatives to implement corporate agreements locally.
  • Work with Product, Pricing, and Operations teams to perform stakeholder and risk analyses on market issues.
  • Increase quote and issuance flow beyond rate and underwriting trends in the market.
  • Utilize production data and reporting to identify trends, capitalize on opportunities, and address agency performance, including training and skill gap analysis.
  • Manage product and user integration with industry technology and rating platforms within the market and agencies.
  • Consult with IAs, possessing strong knowledge of the independent agency channel, industry competitors, major brokers, and associations to gather market intelligence and promote NGAAC products.
  • Deliver on the business unit's annual growth, profitability, agency engagement, and new appointments plans under managerial guidance.
  • Promote the full suite of NGACC insurance products, including auto, homeowners, commercial vehicle, flood, and recreational vehicles, depending on state availability.

Education

4-year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Experience

5+ years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have supervisory duties.

In lieu of Education & Experience

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $83,000 to $114,200, based on experience and qualifications.

The selected candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
