JOB SUMMARY:

The purpose of this position is to drive the development of the rental services business for Ohio CAT. As Ohio CAT continues to grow their rental businesses, we will face different sets of challenges, which will require different types of support. This position will identify areas of improving operations and maximizing profitability, while providing the highest standard of customer service. To be effective, an Assistant Rental Store Manager must be willing to accept and assist in driving change. The Assistant Rental Store Manager must establish an understanding of the following objectives and accountabilities:

  • Open branch for business prior to hours of operation each day (7:00AM to 5:00PM).
  • Assist Rental Store Manager with communication and follow-up on equipment needs between Rental Coordinators and shop.
  • Utilize the service queue and link, ANSI report monitoring to provide jobsite contact information for field inspections, scheduling swap outs as needed.
  • Assist with COD/Dispute settlement and damage recovery efforts.
  • Assist with inventory reconciliation.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Must be a leader with great people skills and an enthusiastic personality.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to teach and train others.
  • Strong organizational skills, and ability to coordinate programs and logistics.
  • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
  • Three to five years in rental industry or equivalent (construction, engineering, equipment distribution) required.
  • Previous key business management experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of start-up procedures for rental stores, and working knowledge of operations, sales, service, and systems.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft applications.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate weights; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movements and fine coordination; and to verbally communicate. Noise levels vary from quiet in offices to moderate or loud in other settings.
