Position Summary

Under the direction of the Regional Safety Manager, this role supports the development and execution of a comprehensive Safety Program across multiple locations. The Health & Safety Manager will collaborate with the local Operations Team to foster a strong safety culture, conduct safety inspections, facilitate employee training, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. The role involves frequent travel to various branches for on-site observations and inspections, and leading training sessions in CPR, AED, and First Aid.

Essential Duties And Functions

  • Hazard Mitigation: Recommend processes and safety features to minimize workplace hazards.
  • Inspections and Compliance: Conduct inspections to identify risks and ensure safety regulation adherence.
  • Field Safety Assurance: Oversee safety measures in field operations.
  • Incident Investigation: Assist in investigating accidents and occupational diseases to find root causes and prevention strategies.
  • Reporting: Document findings and review with stakeholders.
  • Employee Engagement: Interview staff to gather information and promote transparency.
  • Policy Expertise: Maintain current knowledge of safety policies and regulations.
  • Training: Conduct safety training sessions and ensure effective communication of safety programs.
  • Collaboration: Participate in meetings to discuss standards, violations, and hazards.
  • Orientation: Provide safety orientations for new employees and develop materials.
  • Travel: Up to 90% travel to various branches.

Requirements, Education, And Skills

  • OSHA 10-Hour Trainer certification (required).
  • First Aid/CPR/AED Trainer certification (required).
  • OSHA 30-Hour Trainer certification (preferred).
  • Forklift Trainer certification (preferred).
  • Knowledge of ATSSA certifications is highly desirable.
  • Ability to understand and communicate instructions clearly.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Successful background check and drug screening.
