The Transit Director is an appointed (non-classified) position that reports to the Mayor. This position is responsible for leveraging innovative solutions and best practices in the overall management of the administration and operations of CTS, ensuring the consistent provision of quality services in line with the goals and objectives of the City of Chillicothe and the Chillicothe Transit System.
Baccalaureate education, professional licensure, or 10+ years of experience. Experience in grant writing and/or grant management. Strong communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation skills. Organizational and decision-making skills. Valid driver's license and evidence of insurability.
Advanced degree in planning, public administration, business, logistics, or related fields. Experience in public transportation and knowledge of ODOT regulations. Experience in strategic planning, development, performance, and data tracking.
