Description:

TowerPinkster, an architecture, engineering, and interior design firm based in Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky, is looking for a talented Senior Structural Engineer with ten to fifteen years of professional experience in the AEC industry. This position is responsible for the structural analysis and design of buildings and assisting in the preparation of structural engineering calculations and specifications. Must be able to develop drawings within a BIM Environment. This role offers potential for leadership development, including coaching and mentoring the Kalamazoo Structural Team, managing workload, scheduling, and fostering professional growth.

  • Conduct quality checks and reviews.
  • Perform facility assessments and engineering studies.

MENTORSHIP

  • Mentor team members to share knowledge and lessons learned.
  • Assist in creating training and mentorship opportunities.
  • Guide team members in their growth and development.

LEADERSHIP

  • Contribute to work prioritization and project scheduling.
  • Conduct quality control reviews.
  • Provide expertise to resolve project issues.
  • Contribute to department standards and procedures.
  • Leadership development opportunities include staffing, recruitment, performance reviews, and guiding professionals through licensure.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an accredited program.
  • Professional Licensure.
  • 15 years' experience in the A/E Industry.
  • 10+ years' experience leading project teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction documents and industry practices.
  • Supportive leadership skills and professional organization involvement.
  • Proficiency in REVIT and structural engineering software (e.g., RISA 3D, RAM, Tedds).
  • Ability to perform detailed structural analysis and design across various materials.
  • Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and developing drawings in a BIM environment.
