Job Summary


As an Information Security Engineer in our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will contribute to the organization's security efforts by actively participating in monitoring, detection, and response to security threats. This role involves implementing security measures, supporting incident response activities, and collaborating with various teams to ensure a strong security posture. You will work closely with senior engineers to enhance your skills and apply your knowledge to protect the organization's digital assets.


Job Responsibilities


  1. Assist in designing, implementing, maintaining, and managing information security projects within the Security Operations team, ensuring confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information assets.
  2. Coordinate and execute incident response activities, including identifying, investigating, and documenting security incidents, following established protocols, and collaborating with senior engineers for effective resolution.
  3. Support the delivery, implementation, and maintenance of SIEM and SOAR platforms to improve incident response capabilities.
  4. Monitor security events and manage ongoing incident response efforts for efficient threat detection, analysis, and containment.
  5. Engage with industry forums, security communities, and regulatory bodies to stay informed about emerging threats and regulations, representing the company's interests.
  6. Collaborate with IT, network, and development teams to integrate security practices across technological domains.
  7. Familiarity with AI models (such as OpenAI) for security applications, including threat intelligence, automated detection and response, and data analytics. Deploy AI solutions within security frameworks, ensuring ethical use and secure maintenance.
  8. Participate in internal groups like Technical Advisory Boards, Communities of Practice, and cohorts to promote security best practices and awareness.
  9. Contribute innovative ideas to improve security processes and documentation, aligning with industry standards.
  10. Evaluate and integrate new security solutions and technologies to enhance defense capabilities.

Job Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in Information Security or IT.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of security principles and log analysis.
  • Familiarity with SIEM systems and tools.
  • Basic scripting and programming skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Industry-recognized security certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, GCIH, GIAC, CISM, etc.
