POSITION OBJECTIVE

The Senior Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for planning and executing Weatherhead School of Management's corporate engagement strategy. They will work directly with the associate dean of the school of management's corporate partnerships and serve as an executive subject matter expert. The role requires professionalism and comfort in dealing with high-level corporate leaders, internal school leadership, and key stakeholders. The senior director will develop high-value, lifelong touchpoints for corporate partners.

The senior director is responsible for capturing new revenue opportunities, including talent development (executive education and professional degree programs), talent acquisition (full-time student placement), corporate sponsorships, and sponsored research.

The role involves planning and implementing revenue-generating business development activities, co-designing strategic plans, managing special events, and cultivating significant corporate relationships and investments. Maintaining and managing a portfolio of corporate partners is essential.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Drive Revenue Generation Across Multiple Streams (45%): Achieve revenue goals through various channels, collaborate with academic departments, monitor performance, and cultivate corporate relationships.
  2. Design and Implement Strategic Business Development Initiatives (15%): Provide strategic advice, develop long-term plans, lead special events, and identify emerging trends.
  3. Establish Expertise in Targeted Industry (15%): Develop programs tailored to Professional Services, track industry trends, and attend conferences.
  4. Enhance Cross-Functional Collaboration (10%): Serve as liaison between corporate partners and university staff, fostering collaboration and new business relationships.
  5. Coordinate Executive-Level Engagement (10%): Prepare briefings, facilitate high-level meetings, and execute executive events.

NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Leverage Data and Analytics (5%): Use CRM systems to track activities, prepare reports, and ensure documentation.
  2. Perform other duties as assigned (<1%)

CONTACTS

Regular contact with university leadership, departments, external corporate executives, community partners, alumni, donors, and students.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

May supervise business development managers and student workers.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 10+ years in development, business development, consulting, or related fields; experience with professional services preferred.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
