Tarkett offers a great opportunity for a Plant Controller at our Northeast Ohio Campus.

We are seeking a hands-on Plant Controller responsible for the financial oversight of plant activities in Chagrin Falls and Middlefield, including accounting, budgeting, product costing, and plant operating costs. As a member of the Plant Leadership Team, the Plant Controller will collaborate on strategies for growth, profitability, cost savings, and achieving business goals. This role reports directly to the VP of Finance, Commercial, with a dotted line to the Senior Director of Operations, Ohio Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage financial accounting and internal controls of the manufacturing facility.
2. Track all direct and indirect costs related to the plants.
3. Review manufacturing order costing accuracy.
4. Ensure control and accuracy of inventory and inventory movements.
5. Review and calculate inventory obsolescence.
6. Maintain control and accuracy of fixed assets.
7. Support cost savings initiatives and WCM projects.
8. Plan annual costs, expenses, and capital budgets, including economic studies for investments.
9. Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and financial reporting.
10. Provide financial analysis and support to management.
11. Identify efficiency improvements and cost reduction opportunities.
12. Maintain internal controls and ensure data integrity and asset protection.
13. Lead internal and external financial and operational audits.
14. Develop database queries and advanced Excel reports.
15. Collaborate with the Senior Director of Operations on various initiatives.

Experience & Education:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. 8+ years in finance/accounting, including manufacturing experience.
3. 3+ years in Cost Accounting.
4. MBA, CMA, CPA preferred.
5. SAP and Power BI experience preferred.
6. Strong knowledge of corporate finance and manufacturing costing principles.
7. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
8. Leadership skills to motivate and lead teams effectively.
