Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee the execution of large-scale commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with client expectations, budget, and timeline.
Provide strategic oversight to Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project teams to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the life of the project.
Lead project teams in the preparation of project proposals, budgets, and schedules, and ensure all project milestones are met on time.
Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking costs, ensuring projects stay within financial targets and generating accurate reporting for senior leadership.
Monitor project performance to ensure quality control and safety protocols are being followed at all stages of construction.
Identify and resolve potential project risks or issues proactively, including addressing disputes, claims, and challenges that may arise.
Lead and mentor project management staff, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities for junior team members.
Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including safety standards, building codes, and environmental guidelines.
Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., pre-construction, design, procurement) to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
Assist in business development efforts, including identifying new opportunities and maintaining strong industry relationships.
Prepare and participate in high-level meetings with clients, stakeholders, and executive leadership, providing clear and actionable project updates.

The Successful Applicant
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex commercial construction projects with budgets exceeding 20 million dollars.
Exceptional leadership skills with experience managing teams of project managers, superintendents, and other key staff.
Strong business acumen and the ability to manage project finances, schedules, and resources efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
In-depth knowledge of construction processes, contracts, and relevant industry regulations (OSHA, local building codes, etc.).
Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Prolog) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's degree or certifications like PMP or LEED are a plus).
