Our client is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team. Our client is growing fast globally and looking for top talent to join their team. They are a leading global supplier of Abrasive Blasting and Painting Facilities to a range of different industries.
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for assisting the Senior Project Manager in managing and delivering large projects dealing with abrasive blasting and protective coating spray facilities. This includes design, construction of the facility as well as the installation / commissioning of supplied equipment.
Job Requirements
Requirements/Qualifications:
- College degree, preferably in Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of on-the-job relevant experience.
- Strong Mechanical Engineering and technical aptitude.
- Design/Build Construction background.
- Experience in Project Managing industrial construction and equipment projects.
- Experience with industrial equipment, construction or related projects preferred.
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, submittals, specifications, details, and job orders as well as the ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical engineering design and assembly drawings.
- Flexibility, agility, and change management skills.
- Knowledge of electric circuits, controllers & pneumatics would be an advantage.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to understand equipment integration on an industrial site.
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Assist Senior PM in Developing technical solutions w/options - in conjunction with SMEs.
- Assist Senior PM in creating budget proposals, schedules, and bills of material.
- Assist with change order documentation.
- Support procurement and material staging/ preparation.
- Coordinate rental equipment.
- Issue, submit, and track RFIs and Submittals in Procore.
- Create and maintain action item lists.
- Assist in engaging with a wide range of sub-contractors to obtain accurate & competitive costs when necessary.
- Assist in creating polished presentations with high level detail.
- Assist in evaluation, contracting, and oversight of general contractors or other sub-contractors.
