Position Summary:

The Plant Controller is responsible for all financial and manufacturing accounting activities for Pharmavite's newly constructed New Albany plant. This includes budgeting and forecasting manufacturing spend, driving site cost improvement projects, monthly variance analysis and control of spend and inventory, and analyzing capital projects for justification.

Responsibilities:

• Drive ownership and understanding of financial results across plant management staff, including analysis of spend variances with prompt course corrections as necessary
• Lead forecasting and budgeting of plant manufacturing spend during annual budgets and periodic financial reforecasts during the year
• Analyze monthly yield/quality loss variances and communicate key drivers
• Maintain control over inventory through tight month-end reconciliations
• Supervise 1 senior cost accountant who will have primary responsibility for reviewing work order variances
• Support analysis of capital projects to provide financial justification

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or Accounting

Experience: Previous Site Controller experience inside a manufacturing plant is required along with 5+ years' experience in progressing Finance roles within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Standard cost accounting knowledge required
• Knowledge of reconciling inventory between General Ledger vs Perpetual records
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to construct and explain large complex financial models in Excel
• Ability to form strong cross-functional business partnerships and collaborate with those partners

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages one Senior Cost Accountant who will have primary responsibility for reviewing work order variances and other specified cost accruals.

Physical Requirements:

Environment: The role will be onsite in our plant. Exposure to disagreeable elements is moderate.

Safety: The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

Annual Pay:

Annual Pay Range: $122,898.00 - $184,193.00

This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate's starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
