As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Sector - Identity & Access Management team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  2. Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  3. Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  4. Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  5. Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  6. Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
  7. Adds to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  1. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  2. Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for enterprise scale applications
  3. Experience applying expertise and new methods to determine solutions for complex technology problems in one or more technical disciplines
  4. Ability to architect & develop & present engineering solutions within and across products & technology teams with little to no oversight
  5. Advanced in one or more programming language(s), specifically Java Full stack
  6. Demonstrated hands-on experience in Kubernetes (Containerization and orchestration)
  7. Experience working with terraform or similar declarative Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
  8. Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  9. Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives
  10. Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  1. Experience in Infrastructure Architecture designs
  2. Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  3. Knowledge of Multiple Cloud Platforms
  4. Knowledge in Event Driven Architectures
