The Importance of the Role
This position will assist with implementing and developing laboratory assays essential for moving preclinical research forward. The Research Associate II will have the opportunity to work closely with researchers performing and analyzing preclinical experiments, including cell culture, primary sample collection and processing.
The Research Associate II provides laboratory support of day-to-day GCP/GLP analysis related to genetic therapy drug development. The Research Associate II assists in implementing and developing new laboratory techniques to support preclinical decision making.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference
  • Assist in the execution of preclinical research studies through materials preparation, proper documentation, sample collection/processing and cell culture.
  • Prepare and maintain reagents and inventory necessary for sample collection/processing and cell culture.
  • Assist in the execution of GCP/GLP gene therapy drug development using a variety of animal outcome measures as well as molecular assay formats such as Western blot, ELISA, ddPCR, and RT-ddPCR.
  • Participate in evaluation and implementation of new technologies to improve quality and robustness of sample analysis.
  • Troubleshoot routine technical challenges and contribute to their resolution


More about You
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Science, Medical, or Engineering related field
  • Demonstrates great attention to detail and execute protocols with strict adherence to written methods and SOPs
  • Laboratory expertise/training in small animal handling and an understanding of various molecular biology assays.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic

This position requires work on site at one of Sarepta's facilities in the United States.

The targeted salary range for this position is $68,400 - $85,500 per year. Sarepta is making a good faith effort to be transparent and accurate around our hiring ranges. The salary offer is commensurate with Sarepta's compensation philosophy and considers factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, external market conditions, criticality of role, and internal equity.

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
