Job Title: Supply Chain Specialist, Warehouse and Inventory:
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a Supply Chain Specialist, Warehouse and Inventory to join the Supply Chain team at Forge Biologics. In this role, the Supply Chain Specialist, Warehouse and Inventory Chain will directly contribute to the strategic, operational, and supply chain activities required to support our cGMP manufacturing programs and vision. This role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end supply chain operations, optimizing processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of Forge's products.
What You'll Do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply chain activities support product development, manufacturing, and distribution requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the supply chain.
- Oversee all warehouse processes, including but not limited to material movement, warehousing, and order fulfillment.
- Develop and or refine the processes and systems that support GMP material handling activities including receiving, storing, labeling, testing, controlling,
- Identify potential supply chain risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues related to supply shortages, quality concerns, and regulatory compliance.
- Own and maintain accurate any up-to-date documentation related to supply chain activities.
- Functioning as the first point of contact for escalations within the Supply Operations Warehouse team and escalating to Management as needed.
- Coordinating with other workers to resolve discrepancies between inventory and ERP transactions. Including mentoring and training new associates how to identify and resolve independently.
- Performing extensive research on a wide range of inventory-related reports
- Creating and utilized advanced inventory reporting to optimize warehouse operations
- Leading discussions with Supply Chain and other groups to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained throughout both GMP and Research & Development inventory streams
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field and/or 5+ years of related supply chain, inventory, or logistics experience.
- Experience with building and creating complex databases and excel spreadsheets
- Ability to analyze vast lines of data and report/act on said data
- Extensive experience in all Microsoft Outlook tools
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, demand forecasting, procurement strategies, and inventory management.
- Ability to work hours necessary to support production and/or product transfer activities.
- Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office products.
- Experience with Netsuite/SAP is a plus.
- Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position works in both a warehouse and typical office environment where the physical work demands will vary depending on the specific tasks and duties required of the job. The noise level is usually moderate. This role utilizes a computer and other standard warehouse equipment such as powered industrial trucks and hand trucks. Regularly moves freight, stock, or other materials to and from storage or production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles. Must be able to lift, carry, push, and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Regularly communicate with others in person and electronically. Must have the ability to move around the facility for extended periods of time.
