This role is pivotal in serving our customers by accurately hand-building pallets of products and ensuring efficient loading onto trailers in accordance with company and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Read pick sheets and navigate to appropriate warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
• Select the correct product type and quantity, place them on pallets, and load them onto trucks following established guidelines.
• Follow food safety protocols, ensuring products are visually inspected for damages and arranged to minimize contamination.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment, addressing spills and disposed materials appropriately.
• Communicate effectively with the management team regarding products, safety issues, and any discrepancies encountered.
• Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, in compliance with company standards.
• Report any equipment issues to management promptly.
• Complete necessary paperwork and utilize a wearable computer for productivity tracking.
• Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance; work overtime as required to manage workload.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

• Experience: 6 months of warehouse experience preferred; equivalent experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• Licenses: Forklift and pallet jack certification.

• Professional Skills:
• Understanding of safe lifting procedures and food safety protocols.
• Ability to quickly and accurately build pallets.
• Proficient in operating forklifts and pallet jacks in tight spaces.
• Commitment to meeting established productivity levels.
• Strong communication skills in English for job-related and safety matters.
• Basic math skills for order verification.
• Problem-solving capability.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly stand, walk, and use hands for handling products.
• Lifting/moving up to 50-90 pounds consistently.
• Required vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Work Environment:

• Exposed to various temperatures and humidity, moving mechanical parts, and loud noise levels.
• Occasional exposure to airborne particles and high areas.
