In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:The Ohio State University College of Dentistry seeks an Office Associate to support the facultys dossier compilation by obtaining and entering scholarly activities into a database management system. The dossier is an important step in the promotion and tenure processes. In addition, this individual will support college course directors to ensure that standardized, uniform course syllabi are produced throughout the college, in accordance with university and college requirements, and the position will provide general support for the Deans office suite.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant for Faculty Affairs, the Office Administrative Associate is responsible for:
The successful candidate must be able to work independently; Be comfortable communicating with all levels within the College; Competent researching skills and seeking information from faculty and other resources and inputting information into a database management system. Become knowledgeable of university policies and college requirements related to promotion and tenure and course syllabi.
Work Schedule: Full-time, on-site; Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm
Pay Range: The pay range for this position is $15.00 to $20.66 per hour depending upon education and relevant prior work experience. For internal OSU applicants, this position is T2.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Required: A high school diploma or equivalent plus advanced computer skills, the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing, data input proficiency and a strong attention to detail. The experience/expertise needed to be successful in this position includes the ability to work autonomously and multitask in a fast-paced academic environment
Desired: Additional education or training in office administration and/or a background in higher education.
Screening Requirements:
This position requires successful completion of a criminal background check and drug and alcohol screening.
Physical Requirements:
Work is performed primarily in an office environment and the employee in this position is subject to indoor environmental conditions. This position requires sustained periods using a keyboard and performing other computer work as well as reviewing obtaining and reviewing documents such as faculty dossiers, research publications, and academic reports. Requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a general office environment to accomplish tasks.
Additional Information:The Ohio State University College of Dentistry is the fourth largest public dental school in the United States and it is the only public dental school in Ohio. The college is divided into ten divisions with all major ADA-recognized dental specialties represented. The College has approximately 600 students in its undergraduate and graduate programs
