We are currently working in partnership with a global chemical manufacturer based in the Columbus metropolitan area, who are looking for a Senior Production Manager to join the business. As a Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for the efficient and safe production of chemicals, overseeing various departments including engineering, maintenance, production, quality and EHS.

To be considered for this role, you will have a degree within an engineering/scientific field, with 10+ years' experience leading cross-functional teams in chemical manufacturing. A Lean and Six Sigma green belt is preferred for this role, however not essential.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global leader in chemical manufacturing, with prospects to progress in the near future. Basic salary range is between $170,000 and $200,000 dependant on experience, plus a generous bonus which has paid out consistently. My client will also provide relocation assistance and a market leading package if required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a leader to various departments including engineering, production, quality, EHS and R&D to ensure the safe and efficient manufacture of chemicals
• Use quality methods, Lean and Six Sigma to improve efficiency in production, improve the quality of product being manufactured, and increase cost effectiveness
• Lead the continuous improvement activities for the site, to improve on existing processes and principles

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering or scientific field
• 10+ years' experience managing production within a chemical manufacturer
• Experience leading continuous improvement projects
• Lean and Six Sigma green belt is preferred, but not essential
